MEET DR. ALYSSA MICELI
Dr. Alyssa Miceli is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of Amber Dermatology. She built this practice with a clear purpose: to create a space where patients feel comfortable, respected, and truly heard, and where every visit comes with the time and attention each person deserves. Dr. Miceli practices across the full spectrum of dermatology, with particular interests in skin cancer prevention and detection using dermoscopy, women's health issues, hair loss, and inflammatory skin conditions including acne treatment for patients of all ages.
Dr. Miceli earned her undergraduate degree in Nutrition from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at UNC Chapel Hill, graduating summa cum laude. She went on to earn a dual D.O./M.S. through the Academic Medicine Scholars Program at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was inducted into the Psi Sigma Alpha Honor Society and received the Academic Excellence Award for Highest Achievement in Pre-Clinical Education. She completed her internship at University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH, and her dermatology residency at Orange Park Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. During her training, Dr. Miceli received the American Academy of Dermatology Award for Excellence in Patient Care, earned several research grants, authored multiple academic publications, and presented at national medical conferences.
Originally from New York, Dr. Miceli lives in Trumbull with her husband, Dr. Christopher Husko, and their two daughters. She is proud and honored to care for the skin health of her neighbors and surrounding communities.
